Mic Jordan
Mic Jordan is a Music Creator, father, and storyteller from the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa reservation in Belcourt, North Dakota. His journey began while working with Indigenous youth and communities, where he discovered the power of music as a way to honor culture, heal, and connect. Through his art, Mic carries stories rooted in Indigenous identity and values—blending traditional teachings with sharp lyricism that speaks to resilience, truth-telling, and cultural pride.
Beyond the stage, Mic Jordan is a keynote speaker and workshop leader who uses his voice to empower youth and spark conversations around healing, identity, and belonging. He has spoken at universities across the country, including Stanford University, Ohio State University, and the University of Oklahoma, sharing messages of self-determination and cultural pride. His mission is to Indigenize hip-hop and inspire people to embrace who they are, where they come from, and the power of their story.
Mic has shared the stage with artists such as Dave Matthews and Macklemore, and performed at festivals including Nebraska’s Crossroads Music Festival. Named the 2016 North Dakota Hip Hop Artist of the Year and a TEDx Grand Forks speaker his presence bridges generations and builds community through rhythm and reflection.
Now performing with a full band, Mic Jordan’s sound has evolved into a vibrant fusion of hip-hop, soul, and rock. Joined by Matt Johnson of The ForeFeathers, their performances pulse with energy and emotion—bringing Indigenous storytelling to life on stage and creating powerful spaces for celebration, connection, and unity.
